  How I designed it:

"I created the logo and labels for İnci's şalgam. I blended traditional Turkish elements with a clean, modern look to make it pop on Toronto shelves. Lots of sketching, colour testing (that deep purple-red), and working closely with the brand to get it right."

  What is şalgam?

"It's a traditional Turkish fermented drink made from black carrots and turnips. It's tangy, slightly spicy, and packed with probiotics. People drink it ice-cold with kebabs—it's great for digestion. Here in Toronto

  How I designed it:

"I created the logo and labels for İnci's şalgam, and I also did the branding and packaging designs for Hasyorem's çiğ köfte. For both, I mixed traditional Turkish vibes with a clean, modern look to make them stand out on Toronto shelves. Lots of sketching, colour testing, and working closely with both brands to get the feel right."

  What is çiğ köfte?

"It's a traditional Turkish dish. The name means 'raw meatball,' but the version you'll find here in Toronto is actually meat-free—made with fine bulgur, tomato paste, pepper paste, and spices like isot and cumin. It's kneaded for a long time until soft and flavourful. Served wrapped in lettuce with lemon on top—spicy, tangy, and addictive. You can get it at Turkish spots around town, usually with ayran to cool it down."

How I designed it:

"I created the logo and packaging designs for Altatye sucukları. I went with a bold, rustic look that reflects the rich, savoury nature of the product—warm colours, strong typography, and a traditional feel that still looks modern on Toronto shelves."

What is sucuk?

"It's a dry, spicy Turkish sausage made from beef and garlic. It's seasoned with cumin, red pepper, and other spices, then left to dry. You slice it up and pan-fry it—perfect for breakfast with eggs, or in a sandwich. It's smoky, savoury, and packed with flavour.

• How I designed them:

"I created the logo and packaging designs for İnci şalgam, Hasyorem çiğ köfte, and Altatye sucukları. I also designed the logo and website for Homestitchbyrain, a tailoring service. For each project, I blended traditional elements with a clean, modern look to make them stand out—whether on store shelves or online. Lots of sketching, colour testing, and working closely with each brand to capture their unique identity."

• "I created the new logo and website for Best Kabab here in Edmonton. I went with a bold, warm, and appetizing look—rich colours, clean typography, and a modern feel that reflects the quality of their grilled meats. The website is designed to be easy to navigate, with a strong visual focus on their food to make hungry customers want to order."

  What is Best Kabab?

"It's an Edmonton-based spot serving authentic, delicious kebabs—grilled meats done right. Think juicy skewers, fresh bread, and savoury sides. It's a go-to for anyone craving a taste of Turkish and Middle Eastern flavours in the city."
